Good deals on Orange with a Nokia?

My current contract is up in a couple of months time and i'm looking at sticking with a Nokia(it's what i'm used to;)) and also with Orange.

Not bothered if it's not unlocked. I have the N70 at the moment and prefer a larger phone, as i find the buttons can get too wee and fiddly with the smaller phones.

Was looking at possibly the N93 for a backup camera and maybe something like the slide phone....6288?

Any good deals through the usual traders, with the free bits n pieces? :D

Paying £30-35 at the moment on my contract so looking at spending about the same again. Spend way more on texts than calls too.

No-one?

ScoobyDoo555 11 December 2006 05:40 PM

was looking at the new N95..... but looks a bit ott, as I've already got a PDA with SatNav and an Ipod :D

Can't get to grips with the Sony Ericsson stuff (bad experience with the T610 - HATED it with a passion, and vowed never to return to them)

Don't know about deals as such, but there's some great phones coming out in the next few months (my contract on Vodas up soon too)

Dan :)

Cheers Dan. Just about to go through all the ads from The Sun.

I take it the N95 isn't out yet? Similar to N93 i take it?

Am i right in saying an unlocked phone should work with any network sim card?

scoobyDAZZA 11 December 2006 06:25 PM

yep

i've just took out a new contract
free nokia 6111 and am on dolphin 19
£19 a month , 18 month contract , 1 magic number that is free to ring ALWAYS , 200 summink free texts , not sure on minutes, think about 100
also do a dolphin 25 and 35 . . . the 25 and 35 give you a free N70

drb5 11 December 2006 06:30 PM

Cheers.

How is the 6111? Looks quite dinky?

drb5 11 December 2006 06:32 PM

Anyone got an SPV M3100?

Boro 11 December 2006 07:38 PM

A mate of mine just got a new orange contract. Racoon for £35/month.

18 month contract
Free K800i (other phones offered)
Magic number
550 minutes
200 texts
Unlimited landline calls

Just before he signed i think he got offered some free bundles too, think he got extra minutes/texts for 9 months.

Seemed like a good deal when he told me about it.

i've actually got 4 of them lol

it's not too small and the blue 1 does have better buttons than the black ones , although the 'blue' is a bit of a girly colour, they said blue or pink , so i had the blue, it is very light . .
1 problem i've had with 2 of them is the sim card holder, if the card isn't 100% secure then the phone won't read it, i rectified this by sticking a bit of folded card in the holder to get a better contact, shouldn't have to i know but it worked , the camera is quite good on it as well.
i'll search a couple of pics i took recently and put them up

drb5 11 December 2006 08:37 PM

Work for Orange do you? :D

JTaylor 11 December 2006 08:58 PM

I have free broadband with mine.

Nokia N80 (£50)
650 mins
1000 texts
£30 per month.

The N80 can play up from time to time if I'm honest. :(

No idea which animal this is. :)

drb5 11 December 2006 08:59 PM

Lol. :D

Is ok apart from the freezing up? I know the N70 is a bit PC like with how long it takes to do things...

Boro 11 December 2006 09:10 PM

A firmware update has sorted our N80 out, might be worth a try.

Also, if you want an Orange deal, best goto an official orange outlet, they seem to do better deals.

It works fine for weeks and then it'll tell me it can't read the sim and goes offline. I then have to reboot it and switch general profile on and all is well again untill the next time. On the whole, it's excellent.

Took these with it..
