Just a general question really before i spend me hard earned.

MY00 9 months old 18,000 miles, 1500 of which were on a trip to Germany so not much requirement on the Autobahns ;). Have I got a case with the dealer to get em done under warranty or will they laff and tell me to do one?

No track days, a few spirited meets (35 miles behind mellow through Derbyshire ;) ) mainly urban driving so rarely having to slow down from 60+ MPH (To much traffic :( ) what say the might of scoobynet?

MY00 Wagon 25000 miles, same sort of driving as you by the sound of it.
I got mine done under warranty no problems ( premature wear they said )by Pullens of York
Strangely they replaced the rears as well, which were like new, so I had to pay for 2 sets of pads, but hey whos complaining!

Mine where replaced under warrenty when I brought the car @ 7500 miles due to score marks in the discs, how are your shafted ?

Dave, they are like paper already and the score marks/ ruts have to be experienced to be believed :eek:

The scoob still stops ok, just dreading the day when they SCHTOP stopping.

Yes you have, I got through two set in 38K miles, First set warped like a B@st@rd the second set just worn out, no track days 70% motorway use.
Dealer did the disks under warranty, had to pay for the pads!
there appears to be a batch(s) of MY99/00 made out of monkey metal!

Lot of MY99/00 owners have had this problem.

Your dealer should replace them,mine had big rust rings around them and looked like they'd come off a 13 year old allegro,the stopping power was crap,mechanic took it for a spin and couldn't believe how bad they were so he replaced all 4 under warrenty and flattened the old pads down as they were fine,they were 100% better after that.Car was 18 months old with 12k on the clock.

I had my disc's replaced at 28000 miles under warranty no problems at all my99 car only 3 months left on warranty.

Rust rings around the outside, hmm I got that as well. The car is in the dealers, have just phoned them, and they have agreed that they can be done on warranty ;) 26 k mostly motorway driving, and a little of the other type of driving ;) They dealers has said there are heat spots and they might be warped!!!

I have to pay for the pads, but hey at least I get new disks.
