A quick answer needed please!

Before I start, know this is in the wrong place but I really need a quick answer on my question. So here goes :)

Would an ECU from a MY94 WRX fit MY96 2000awd? (number starts with a 2C)
Would it need to be re-mapped aswell?

Thank you in advance :notworthy

Jonno_johnson 10 December 2006 07:15 PM

It should fit and would need a remap.

EOEUMC 10 December 2006 07:16 PM

Thanks for that Jonno :)

How much would a re-map cost? (approximately)

Jonno_johnson 10 December 2006 07:18 PM

Im not sure how much the remap would cost mate, but im sure someone will come along with that answer for you.

This is poor advice (quoted).

It'll fit but its an inferior ECU to the Z4 that your car came with. Im assuming that your 'MY96' is that and not just made in 1996 and that both vehicles are Saloons or 'Wagons?

I didnt mean to give out poor advice, i was lead to belive it would fit, and it seems it would fit, however thank you for the correction.

As Simon has said, it's an import version and won't run on UK fuel. It's a no go, remapping a 94-96 ECU, the only option is a Scooby ECU, or get in touch with ESL.
