Sorry to be geeky but HKS actually stands for the names of the people who started the company:

Mr. Hasegawa and Mr. Kitagawa designed the first commercial turbocharger for a normal car They then joined forces with the Sigma Company.

Hence the name:

H --> Hasegawa
K --> Kitagawa
S --> Sigma company
