Downloading question

As I type my PC is downloading/uploading something from the net. I'm online but not actually doing anything. Can I find out what it is doing. Tried taskmanager but not there. Realise may be virus checker or something but would like to know,
Cheers

Alasdair

start
Run
type CMD
at the prompt type
NETSTAT -a

and you'll see all the connections

14 would be a max including virus scanners and such but 4-7 is normal

Cheers for that. All seems to be AOL or Macafee. I looged off last night whe it happened and when I went back online it had stopped doing it. Hmmmm.

At least I'll know what to do in future.

So thats why I pay AOL money every month. I was wondering.:wonder: Duh

What I meant was That it wasn't AOL spyware checker etc or Macafee virus/spam checker that were working at the time so it must have been something else. Need to wait till it happens again and check then.
Cheers

I get this with AOL at times, its there software checking for new updates etc nothing to worry about :) it also does this if ADSL is slow and or about to drop and reconnect

Cheers for that.
