New Shoes

I finally managed to get my new wheels on the car, dual EcuTek switchable maps, LAUNCH control and Prodrive geometry setup. Car is going an absolute treat.
8x18" BBS CH's with Goodyear Eagle F1's 225/40/18 - Going for the S203 look.........[:D]

I think you'll all agree that it totally changes the look of the car. I am rather chuffed.

Well everyone is entitled to their opinion - I was fed up of seeing everyone else with the the same wheels as I had. I got the anthracite PFF-7's a long time ago and it now seems that it is the alloy of choice for 90% of scooby owners (for good reason - it looks really nice). Time for a change..........

Robbie T 04 December 2006 02:25 PM

LOWER IT!!!

You know it makes sense ;)

Flaps 04 December 2006 02:27 PM

I know what you mean about the PFF's being over done and fair play for getting rid! I personally prefer the before shots though, I think the car looks a bit too silver now. I still wouldn't say no mind!

Neanderthal 04 December 2006 02:38 PM

Dual switchable maps? how's that work then?

Andy Porter 04 December 2006 04:04 PM

look a bit like S203 wheels, intentional ?

F1 CJE UK 04 December 2006 04:17 PM

looks cool 2 me, more info on the switchable maps and LAUNCH control would be good

trails 04 December 2006 04:48 PM

i prefer the new rims, all you need to do now is dump the tea tray wing and it will look even cooler...all imho oh course ;):)

Yep very much so - the wheels are VERY similar to the S203/4 alloys (but the genuine ones cost $3000 without tyres.................:nono:

I have a custom EcuTek Tek 3 remap which NOW on the STi9 allows you to run two maps - one high boost one low boost (switchable from the demister button on full throtle) and Launch control. The launch control sounds wonderful.................:notworthy

Surely dont change the wing, that car is one of the best looking subarus out there, its the best colour second to none, and the new alloys look nice, as do the old ones, but everyone has the old ones! Well done for going for something new mate! Im with you 100%, but I would suggest lowering a little now, would finish the car off!

The car is lowered on prodrive springs at the moment.

nice choice of rim mate:thumb:
amazing the difference the style of rim can make to a car
As you say pff7's are quality if not a little over done
lighter colour sets your scoob off as well

Just to show off my BBS RE's :lol1: :thumb: :D

BBS rims look nice mate, go well with your car colour.
A bit different altho prefer them in the darker anthracite colour like on ~DrEaM~'s car.

Elmer Fudpucker 04 December 2006 10:48 PM

How did you get it so clean in this weather. Can`t get a chance to clean mine at all. Hopefully my umpteen layers of Swissol Wax are working! :)

THe car hadn't been washed for 2 days when I took the photos - so I should pull my finger out and clean her. Just lots of wax and regular cleaning that's all. The car usually gets cleaned 2/3 times a week when I am at home.

Crystal Grey is definitely the best colour................:luxhello:
