Night Nurse (the medicine)
Blimey that stuff knocks you out.
Took some last night for a cold & putting the bottle away was the last thing I remembered before waking up this morning. R. |
Best taken after a couple of pints. You then get 10 hours sleep - whether you wanted them or not!!!! Cracking stuff if you feel that sh!te ....
Dave PS: for the non-Brits - it's Nyquil in the US and Medinite in Europe - or vice versa .... |
Strangely enough, the one and only time I ttok the stuff, it kept me awake.:(
I'd never felt so tired and weary, but I COULD NOT drop off. Never again. Alcazar |
I remember one Christmas Eve about 10 years ago. Was feeling really rough, so my mum gave me what she thought was day nurse at 10am. Turned out to be blo^dy nightnurse and I was asleep within the hour!

I dare not take anything like that myself. I suffer from time to time from mild insomnia, and it's a right pain in the back side.
I've thought about taking Night Nurse (or similar) to get me to sleep, but worry I'd start relying on it too much to get me to sleep, eventually becoming Dependant on it. |
It's the antihistamine in it that knocks you out.

Great stuff for a cough as well
|
I can't take it now due to other medication but I always used to keep some in for a bad cold.
Great stuff if you want some sleep when feeling rough. Cheers Lee |
