Blob eye question

I am looking to buy a blob eye impreza, have viewed one...

however, I have a question...

I have read that Euro import cars do not come with an alram fitted as standard...

and the one that i viewed had an alarm led near the handbrake...is this where they are placed on UK cars, or could it be a Euro Import with an aftermarket alarm?

cheers guys

No the led isn't there, both alarm and immobiliser are dash mounted. The car may have had an aftermarket jobbie fitted. I have read about some uk car owners changing their security in an attempt to fend off the villains.
Nik.

Is there any other way of finding out whether it is a UK car or Euro?

Are the seats middle cushion flat and just bolstered? Imports can have seats with a raised centre like this but without the blue.............Google Image Result for http://www.autointeriorstyling.co.uk/images/subaru_impreza_front_seats.jpg
Or post the chassis number and someone will tell you for sure

What year is it..?

'Most' EU cars come with nice bucket seats (as in STI) and not the arm chair uk type..!

Also, does it have PIR sensors half way up the 'A' posts or grommets as if they've been removed..? If so it's probably UK.

BTW, what difference does it make as long as it's a genuine nice car..?
