Traffic cops last night
 

Did anyone see the episode last night?

I was most concerned about the incident involving the X5 and MX5. For those who didn't see it there was a MX5 that appeared to have left the road and crashed into a wooded area taking some tree's along with her. The driver was critical and had multiple fractures.

The X5 was a few yards further down with no driver. The driver was hidden in a bush and was 3 times over the drink :nono: . Turns out the car was registered to a fictional person and the driver, who was a traveller, had no insurance. His wife denied her husband had an X5, even claimed she didn't know what one was. CCTV from the camp site, 5 mins before the accident showed the X5 leaving the site followed by his wife in another car :Whatever_

The police could not prove that the X5 driver was in the car and thus was released on bail. The MX5 driver, in her 50's, spent 3 months in hospital with a broken back and pinned leg among other broken bones.

Accident investigators suggested the X5 was travelling at around 100mph in a 40 zone, and hit the right/rear of the mx5, travelling at 40mph, the impact sent the MX5 90 degrees into the woods and the X5 did 110 degree spin hitting the woods further down the road and sideways.

The case did go to court and the guy got 4 years eventually.

4 years for tearing someones life appart, that was the other crime commited

Credit to the police in getting it to court and getting the guy sent down.

However, this is Blairs britain, he'll be out in a few months :mad:

My other half was hit from behind at a roundabout (whilst stationary) and pushed onto the motorcyclist in front of her.

Police attended and wrote up the incident.

She is now having to go to court for due care and attention.

If she had not been there the motorcyclist would have been killled, she was pushed 8 metres and our car written off!

Another sad case of going after people they know are easy to procecute and leaving real criminals and offenders out there to commmit more havoc. Not sure what is happening to the guy that hit her, no feedback!

Not blaming the Police as such but the system that allows this to happen.

Makes me bloddy well mad!

Which gives NL enough time to build him a brand NEW travellers site, with all mod cons...... and hopefully a garage for his next stolen 4X4 :rolleyes:

Am I reading your post right Paul? Somebody rear-ended MrsH pushing her into a motorcyclist, and the cps are doing her for Due Care, not the rear-ender? If I've got it right, that's just plain wrong:(

Jenny is being procecuted for due care and attention even though she was stationary, stopped behind the bike, hit from behind and shunted onto/into the motorcyclist - yes.

She pulled up behind the motorcyclist, he went to pull away and stopped, Jenny did the same, stopped behind him and she was hit a second later, from behind with enough force to push our car 8 meters and onto the bike that went under the front of our car. Luckily the biker got away with no more than cuts and bruises.


Can you imagine what would have happened to the biker if she had not taken the brunt of the impact.

Jenny had cuts and brusies whiplash and damage to her back, she has had to pay several visits to the osteopath as her pelvis is twisted and one leg now appears 2cm shorter than the other causing back problems, it can be sorted - at a cost!



Not sure about the muppet who hit her and caused the accident.

Isn't this an insurance thingy? the motorbike has to claim off her, therefore she's prosecuted, her insurers claim off the pikey and so on???? :wonder:

Surely a halfway decent solicitor (which I'm assuming Jenny's got?), could blow that one right out of the water!

No wonder the country is up to our eyes in national debt, if the cps are p!ssing money away on idiotic prosecutions like that:mad:

Police came and took statements from her and CPS are taking it up on behalf of the crown or such like.

I have not seen the paperwork as i am in Dubai.

The MOST shocking thing about it all is that the pikey didnt even ask or care about the woman he hit. And he had previously done the same the year before, but the case was dimissed but the CPS ..........

Yeah, Last night program made my blood boil. How people go through life just not caring about ruining someone else's life is beyond me. Having his wife not giving a fcuk either just goes to show what scum of the earth Travelers really are. Why didn't the Police pull the place apart for stolen goods, stolen cars etc. If they want to club together and defend scum, then punish them all, make there lives hell. :mad:

As said above though, good on the Police for pushing it through the courts. Hopefully they were all watching Traffic Cops in his prison last night.

The police did that when a group of travellers took over some old disused factory land in Chesterfield about a year ago, and I had the pleasure of a decent view of some of the goings on, which lasted about 3 hours in all. No idea about what smaller items were recovered, but out of a group of about 25 caravans, 17 of them were found to be stolen, and about 5 4x4s were recovered too (brand new Mitsubishi Shoguns, X5s etc)

It was an absolute pleasure watching the caravans and vehicles being taken away let me tell you! :notworthy :thumb:

I thought it was great to see the cops being seen at the car cruise - looked like they were all being really positive too.

How that one cop kept his cool with the teenage chav scum, gawd knows!!!

agree with all the above. I was seething when the X5 driver denied being the driver. Scum like this deserve a damned lot more than they actually end up getting.

It's always nice to see a positive Police presence at car meets. Was a cruise I went to a while ago, loads of interest in what the Police actually had in their car more than the cars on show. And let's not forget, the Police started the whole blue neon things !!

I didnt get a few things about the program with the MX5 / X5 accident.

Missed the end but i thought the MX5 had two people in it, because the woman was in the passenger seat? Or did i get that wrong, lol?

Also, the first copper on the scene didnt even know the X5 was there, his excuse "i didnt see it because its dark and the X5 was a dark colour"

3 seconds later, the X5 came on screen and it was SILVER, hardly a dark colour.

Wasn't made too clear, but I think the impact of the drivers side door with a tree bent the car like a banana and the driver ended up being pushed across the car to where the passenger seat was :eek:

Indeed the woman was all over the place. No passenger.
