need some help i need a new pc
 

need a new pc this one is getting slower and slower everything day.

I have 500-600 pound to spend.

I take it i should really go for a duel core cpu. whats better amd / intel. What speeds should i go for.

minimum 1 gb ddr ram i take it

anything else i really need to get.

Also i need to buy one on buy now pay later does any one no any good places to go.

Sorry i will mainly be using it for downloading music, maybe a few games and a lot of the time just on the net.

Based on your requirements; internet, a 'few' games and some office applications probably and possibly itunes or similar. I would think about upgrade rather than new; upgrade RAM to 1Gb, perhaps a dedicated graphics card if currently using on-board and a second HDD (160GB is about right) also a new PSU might be an idea. Copy all your music, data and porn files to the new HDD; Format the existing HDD and re-install operating system and other progs. This should see a dramatic performance in system speed; I've recemtly seen XPLite in action and it makes XP very quick by cutting out all the rubbish that installs in the background. Should fall easily within the budget you've set, and available from an Ebay 'store' very cheaply.

ive just built a beast for £800 - core2duo e6600, asus p5b deluxe m/b, 2gb corsair xms memory, case , psu , etc. now overclocked to 3gb and it really flies !! just need a bigger heatsink now :)

i could not recommend Mesh due to poor aftersales and repair attitude.
