Comments on what I watched last night - Torchwood and AI

Just thought I'd share my TV feelings from last night.

Torchwood - I know many think its proper rubbish but I quite like it. However, I'm kinda put off by the seemingly acceptable way in which the lead female is carrying on with either the american guy and now last night the young chopsy lad.

Its like the american guy wasn't that interested and a bit too aloof so shes going to have a bit of the young lad. But yet shes got a partner back home waiting patiently while she farts about saving the world and behaving like a bit of a tart.

AI - am I the only person who can't watch the last 20 minutes without blubbling like a small child whose dropped their ice-cream? I don't just mean well up either, I mean proper tears and red cheeks!!

I don't know why and I don't get upset with watching any other film but AI gets me everytime.

Both would leave me in tears

if I was ever forced to watch either :D

I watched "Oz and James's Big Wine Adventure" James May being boorish and Oz Clarke being a pretentious nob. Proper funny though :D

Hello

I really, really hated AI when I saw it in the cinema. It didn't really make any sense, was far too long, and just had a bad story.

So the only thing I was crying in the last 20 minutes was "please end or kill me now .. "

Sorry.

Steve

Didn't she snog an alien in one of the first episodes as well? :wonder:

Aye, girl got posessed by this alien that fed of peoples orgasms. :norty:

Next week looks like another lessy-obsessed episode. Some blonde being posessed but this time its the asian girl that takes up the muff-diving. :)

Don't mind that, I just think they need to sort out the lead females boyfriend. She should give him the boot because all this alien chasing, killing, snogging action is making her a bit of a "one".

I will admit that it does bring a tear to my eyes as well. And not for the reasons others have posted. I put it down to the fact that I first watched it not long after my daughter was born. I can empathise with parents/child issues much more now.

AI's an ace film, need to think a bit deeper than the average film though , Torchwood on the other hand is carp.

Did anyone realise that Torchwood is just about the only usable anagram of Doctor Who?

There are loads of nonsensical three word anagrams mostly to do with COD

AI is by far and a way the worst film I have ever seen.

I'll publicly admit to a lump in the throat and that's it! ;) Don't think it's the best film overall but I find the ending incredibly tragic and moving.

Watched Torchwood for first time this week. Pretty poor acting tbh and not the best thing on TV but I still watched it.

Got a feeling that Torchwood will get better - acting has been a bit wooden, but is getting better. Bit like the next gen Battlestar Galactica.

After all, it's just a bit of entertainment - whatever floats your boat really :)
