First Modified event of the year :)

hope you do not mind. As a former member of the almighty scoobynet and attending many of your meets I'd like to take this opertunity to invite you all to this event.

Hope to see many of you there.

Phil 23 November 2006 11:35 AM

As this is the same day as the ESC Posers Cruise I am sure there will be many Subarus around

Can I ask if you have cleared this with Tesco's

We have a very good reputation with them and would hate for that to be tarnished SHOULD there be problems

Should make it a very busy night for January though

GOOD LUCK

mufdrive.co.uk 23 November 2006 01:03 PM

Hi, just to let you know all is cleared and there won't be any mis-behaving! Your meets are exactly the sort we are looking to encourage within the moddified scene and very nicely timed with your meet i might add! that wasn't coincidence! :)
I hope to see many of you there and catch up with the people that i know there. ;)
take care and if you wouldn't mind.... The site only went live today so it'd be great if you guys could post your attendance on it.

Thanks all and we'll see you all soon.

WRX_Dazza 23 November 2006 02:04 PM

will all 5 of your members be coming??

Dazza

mufdrive.co.uk 23 November 2006 02:12 PM

Ha ha ha... we've found the comedian! ;)
The site isn't about members?!?!? we have no members and no forum. This is simply a front end to the database to show who's who and what clubs will be in attendance!
Keep your eye's peeled on there mate and you will see the attendance figures raise. The site went live 20 mins before i posted the flyer on here.
Thanks for encouraging comments though mate! :)

Phil 23 November 2006 02:19 PM

I will leave it to our Essex Regional Organiser, ESC Founder and General Good Egg to register ;)

Dazza a comedian? you have seen his work then ......................PMSL

WRX_Dazza 23 November 2006 03:13 PM

no worries, always good to meet new people.
although i'm not sure what the Nova boys will make of our pipe and slippers ;)

ps: i like the website idea and format :)

pps: who is Simon Hill ???

Dazza

Pro Boy 23 November 2006 04:20 PM

Car hi jacking now CRUISE HI JACKING

mufdrive.co.uk 23 November 2006 05:11 PM

Cheers Dazza,

The site didn't need to be anything complicated, just a simple front end to what we hope to be a great event.

Simon Hill is the IT behind the site, we got him to do the web design and database stuff as well as sort out the domain etc. We're cars mate not IT ;)

We're not hijacking and hope it isn't seen like that, primarily were organising the event for the opposite reason and bring people together for a more community spirit. Were out to show the young guns how to behave and moddeling our meet on the ethics here :)

Nate 23 November 2006 05:14 PM

Dazza,

I was going to ask the exact same question , 'Whois' ( ;) ) Simon Hill ??

Tomski_908 23 November 2006 05:23 PM

hhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmm .......... Might make things a bit hard to do our normal style!! :wonder:

Don't you think this will attach all sides of the modd'd world plus nova's :freak3:

Tomski and Tiny

I'm sorry you view it this way. :(
If there is a problem with inviting you all to a joint 'meet' that i may add I myself have attended your meets many times in my sti prodrive then we @ mufdrive can move our meeting point in basildon to a different location.
As stated before. All we are trying to achieve is a community spirit and a chance to meet some people from other car clubs to build on the inter-club relations for the show season.

I have attended many meets with SIDC and unfortunately we are normally left to our own devices and our members don't really mingle with the other clubs.

As primary organiser of this event and having attended many of your monthly meets I honestly can say that I'm shocked by some of your negativity.

Your meets have always had a great atmosphere and well behaved individuals. I come from Cambridgeshire down to your meets in the scoob!!! thats why we thought inviting you guys would be good. In addition to that... we all had to start somewhere! I myself had a Uno as my first car :) it's nice for the young un's to aspire to something and seeing some of your cars you may even get a few more members by showing them the error of their ways!!! ;)

Now... if you feel threatened by us trying to pass your good name on to many other individuals then thats fine. I can have the route changed and set up a different final collection point.

Please feel free to discuss and let me know your wishes.

Finally... I'd like to thank the few of you for adding your names to the list. If necessary...AND I HOPE NOT (depending on your organisers views)... should we change final collection point and you guys that have your name down still wish to attend i'd appreciate your help in recommending another meeting point in basildon thats on or just off the a127.

Kind regards

MUFdrive team ;)

Wow did i miss something?

Nate 24 November 2006 09:26 AM

MUFdive,

I think the whole point of the ESC southend cruise, was to hit Southend with an influx of Scoobies in one hit :D . I don't think you should think of taking it personally if the club (ESC) members do not cruise down with you. Tiny has built this cruise up, over a long time to get it as organised as it is now, and cruising down to Southend 'Nascar' style ..... A mix of clubs cannot recreate the 'Nascar' style, unless they are all of one Marque .

IMHO of course.

mufdrive.co.uk 24 November 2006 10:03 AM

lol... so you do 'scooby only' events. You never have other marques there??? Are you sure????
Evo for example
GT3 another example
oh and who could forget the rx7 boys turning up?
Another of your meets i attended I followed in a few scoobs which brought their mates along in a (sorry for swearing) saxo and a fiesta.

I agree with what you are trying to achieve but can't you see what we are trying to achieve? As I said guys, It's your call as it was your venue first.
We'll wait and see your general consensus tonight, after that we will ammend our flyers and advertising if neccessary.

If it helps in your quest to 'hit with influx' (whatever thats all about) and you wish to be part of a massive road block that you normally try to create. you guys head up the run. we'll let you all go (not that a lot of people will get a choice in the matter :lol1:) and continue the run into southend behind you all.

We're not out to create an atmosphere, we're out to try unite forums and improve the standard of meets and shows.

******THIS IS NOT GOING TO BE A MONTHLY THING, IT'S A ONE OFF******
You'll only have to put up with us for 1 night! ;)

Tiny's done a great job sorting out things down there and it's great to see such a commited turn out month on month from you guys.

****IMHO OF COURSE*****

Phil 24 November 2006 10:03 AM

Amended having read your last post ;)

I am sure Tiny will be intouch :thumb:

I think it's a good idea.....
One posers cruise out of 12 isn't a bad deal really.....but hey.....it's not like we get split up attempting the nascar style anyway :Whatever_

PARK !!!

you should see their driving ;)

dynamix 24 November 2006 03:22 PM

Not that I have ever been to an ESC Posers Cruise - but this does seem like a little bit of a hijack to me and an opportunity for the less desireable element to give the ESC cruise a bad name by street racing wannabees trying their luck against the scoobies.

Phil 24 November 2006 03:40 PM

PARK !!!
