ESC to Rochester's Dickensian Christmas Festival

Rochester Dickensian Christmas Festival
Sunday 3rd December

This two day festival takes place every year in Rochester (Kent). Street entertainers, christmas market, carol singers and a candelit parade with costumed characters and festival participants, that finishes at Rochester Castle where there is snowfall :luxhello:

Chris (97Cataluyna) and I are hoping to go along ......anyone else want to join us? Thought it might be a nice ESC family outing to get us all into the festive spirit.

Parking gets a bit busy for this weekend but there are a few park & ride places near by....one being at the Dockside Outlet Centre (shopping time ladies! :D )

Best place will be to meet at Thurrock Services as that is on route / easy for all to get too. As for time, suggest meeting around 10.30am to give us time to get down there and get parked and get into the town......?

(you can find out more about the day on http://www.medway.gov.uk/evetns)

Good event this ...Especially the winter one too.

After a few years of going, it does get a bit 'samey' though .

You will enjoy the hog roast at one end though ;)

Make sure you get there early or you wont be able to park up anywhere secure !!!! And DO NOT leave anything of value in your car as it may not be there when you get back !!!

Car parks on corparation street have cameras so they are a good bet to park up !!!!

May even see you down there

Tony

not sure where the car parks are you are talking about as not been down there before....the little brochure about the event says to park at the park'n'ride places they have there.....are these the dodgy ones then?

So Tiny if you are going in the escort, does that mean I can take me little peugeot and we can have a convertable cruise instead of a scooby one? :lol1:

Good to see a few names up on the list now :)

So judging by previous comments on this thread, is everyone going in non-scooby cars because of the dodgy parking???????????????

Is everyone up for going down there together or do people want to get their in their own time and maybe meet later in the day? If all going together, any suggestions when people prefer to leave essex to travel down?

Not much choice for us, unless we go in the van:lol1:
