Nürburgring Visit - Any interest?

Well as some of you know I work near the Ring :D (stop it) during the week.

I have been planning to visit the track the drive the Nordschleife and wondered if anyone fancied tagging along?

I'm no experienced tarmac terrorist but I just wanted to experience it, so all-comers welcome :)

I wanted to try and do it before Christmas BUT due to the obvious, after may be better....

Please place name and prefered date if interested:

Found the easiest way is to just announce when your going to be there and see if anyone wants to meet up while your there.

Otherwise the organisation side of things goes crazy :)

Anyway.. I'll be there, well, atleast twice a month so see you there :thumb:

Cheers... will have to post when your going next as I could maybe meet you there when Im at work...? Although Para 5.4.9 of t&c for rentacar says "vehicle cannot be used to drive or to be driven on circuits or any similar areas of motorsports" boo!!!!!

I'm just rying to see if a small group wanted to go at some time as going solo could prove a little boring?

There will always be people to chat to their and make friends with - it has a totally unique atmosphere.

Pop over to Gary's site at Northloop.co.uk or ours at BigPower.co.uk - we have many trips planned :)

But the ring is specifically named on most if not all rental company policies, they also have scouts spotting in the ring for the vehicle licence plates. :(

You can hire cars specifically for the ring, race prepped M3's etc, but this was around 300 Euros, and thousands of pounds excess if you smash it.

Nah..... But as Cookster said, the spies are out!!!!

cookstar 22 November 2006 04:41 PM

Mind you theres nothing to stop you buying an XR2 or something like that, about the same cost as hiring a car

bibo_boy 22 November 2006 05:00 PM

What they sell XR2s there !!!!!!! ;)

cookstar 22 November 2006 05:03 PM

Ahh yes, scrap that idea, getting carried away with myself :D
