Royal Mail scam

The trading Standards office are making people aware of the following scam:
A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to contact them on 0906 661 1911 ( A premium rate number) DO NOT call this number, as this is a scam originating from Belize. If you call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will already have been billed for £15 for the phone call.
If you do receive a card with these details, then please contact Royal Mail Fraud on 020 732 96655 or ICTIS ( The premium rate service regualtor) @ Icstis Homepage

Bear this in mind people, it could save you a few quid!!

Its still something people should be aware of IMHO.

This sort of stuff still goes on, as well as the "you'll need to pay for this package" scam, where you pay £10-£20 for a second hand book.

be vigilant, and dont pay for ANYTHING on the doorstep, unless you know the source. If in doubt, ask them to send you a bill !!!

Dazza :)

It may be a hoax mate, but it's a very real threat, I'd rather be cautious then to assume things like this don't happen

As you can see, all references were to Xmas 2005. I'm not saying for peeps not to be aware, ta to Cornelius for posting, all i'm saying is it's OBSOLETE.

Instead of concentrating on old viruses, new ones are being generated,. I hope i've made myself crystal.
Many thanx.
