The Conservatives shot themselves in the foot over Iraq and also their choice of leader.

Which is why they have a massive lead in this poll :)

Cameron is more voteable than any other Conservative - but he is clearly not a Conservative thank god.

The Conservatives shot themselves in the foot long before Iraq was even a twinkle in the political eye.

As many voters won't have any idea of a specific party's manifesto it'll be purely a "housewives' favourite"
That's the whole reason the Conservatives have David Cameron. Spin and style, not substance and sincerity. If he gets in we're in once again for a shallow, agreeable-faced PM.
I want tough talking gritty Scot John Reid.
Grrrrrrrrr

There isn't any difference between the parties manifestos you mean ....

The poll and the answers are very interesting.
It seems that many respondents have ignored the actual question to state who they would like to win the next election.

Interesting poll.
Interesting posts.
It seems that many have ignored the actual question to state who they would like to see win the next General Election.
Does it not seem likely that Brown or less likely that Reid will take oner as PM from Blair before the next G.E.?

And that behaviour reminds you of which particular profession, exactly?

Which is a shame as we need more Conservative policies to offset the *style and no substance* years of NL!!!

It is rather strange that Cameron is trying to out-Blair Blair!

I suspect that Thatcher and Tebbit are turning in their graves ;)
