I'll raise your furl and see your digg!

Glad someone asked the question.

jasey 13 November 2006 11:24 AM

Someone's digging alright - a fcuking great big hole for ScoobyNet to dissapear down.

Can someone mock up SN2009 - with space for 3 characters of user content

SJ_Skyline 13 November 2006 11:27 AM

I guess the tobacco sponsorship deal fell through eh, Simon? ;)

JackClark 13 November 2006 11:38 AM

Digg is a great way of crashing Scoobynet. All we have to do is pick a thread and all digg it. If it hits the front page of digg / All I'll put money the server will fall over, or at least creak a lot.

Captain Jack 13 November 2006 11:43 AM

Ah yes, the 'Digg effect'. It has brought many well specced and administered sites to their knees.....

So this site would be completely shafted. :D

DCI Gene Hunt 13 November 2006 11:45 AM

Lets put it to the test then......:D

I'll Digg first...:thumb:

Gear Head 13 November 2006 11:47 AM

Why don't they just scrap the forum and use it for what they really want it for. A s*dding advertising machine!

Grrrrr!

BlkKnight 13 November 2006 11:51 AM

Digg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

SJ_Skyline 13 November 2006 11:58 AM

I guess I had a 50/50 chance of being right :)

TopBanana 13 November 2006 12:15 PM

Well, I use digg, delicious and technorati regularly. I still think there's no point having them on Scoobynet.

Are you saying you're not a furler :D.

Is furling something that is best done in the closet :wonder:

andythejock01wrx 13 November 2006 12:18 PM

I've put "Digg" on my "ignore" list ! :lol1:

Here's an idea to anyone who administers a forum:
When enabling a feature, post a FAQ

Unless it's typed in anal-lish like the zoints one

Markus 13 November 2006 02:00 PM

Oh joy, yet more pointless crap being added to SN. First we had Zoints, now these stupid things. I can't think of any reason why anyone would want to submit an SN thread/post to Digg. I can see it the other way round though.

It would be nice if there was a post in General from Shaun/Simon explaining what these things are, why they felt the need to add them to SN, and if there is an option to disable them (I've had a very quick look at the user control panel and cannot see anything there).

dynamix 13 November 2006 02:15 PM

just another bit of page clutter that takes us further away from the point of the forum for us although probably closer for them
