Rover 414 Electrical Problem
 

Recently my girlfriends rover 414 N reg went all wrong:

First the speedo, rev counter and other dials started spinning round and going mad while she was driving. The car still drove ok.

It got towed back but then there was a problem with the lights and the remote locking.

Now the battery is flat

Has anyone any ideas, is it a right off?

similar problem with wifes scenic, was just a knackered battery in her case.
