My New Daily Driver...
First time away from Jap cars in 6 years, and have to say, I'm not missing Jap build quality ;) :D
Hope you like, and yes, if anyone fancies a short back and sides just pm me :p lol! :freak3: :hjtwofing (our Border Collie Cerys managed to sneak in too!! :D) http://homepage.ntlworld.com/john.am...bmw/corner.jpg http://homepage.ntlworld.com/john.am...mw/corner2.jpg http://homepage.ntlworld.com/john.ambrosen/bmw/side.jpg http://homepage.ntlworld.com/john.ambrosen/bmw/rear.jpg http://homepage.ntlworld.com/john.am...w/interior.jpg Loving things so far, except the damn run flats - they'll be getting changed! |
Very nice mate.
Is it the 3.0 litre? |
Sure is - really weird though, had turbos the last 6 years and a linear power delivery is very strange after turbo shove LOL! Doesn't feel as quick but when you look down at the speedo you see it is! :)

|
Have you done the anti indicator mod yet lol?
|
I like it, but think i would of gone for the boxter.
|
Very nice car IMO.
Bit of class on here which makes a change. |
Petem95 - :) As for the rears, they are the most worn, its got nearly new fronts on, but I can see what you suggest happening ;)
Tidgy - lol, I've actually let more people out than ever since getting it!!! Maybe I'm trying to hard to keep out of the stereotype! :D Audi - nope :p I've always used my indicators and always will, I was just lucky the original owner spec'd it with that option ;) Graham - The Boxster did appeal - a lot - but I just couldn't overlook how much more spec you were getting on a newer car with less mileage, for almost as good a drive. Bat-Fink - :D |
Of all the modern Beemers - I think the Z4 is the most successful. Very nice car. I would seriously consider one myself (I would agree that the bloody awful run flats have to go though).
|
I hired a Z4 2.2L (I think!!!)auto, for the day, as an anniversary present for my wife who loves them to bits.
I was surprised at the fact I quite liked it, I was also pleasantly surprised by the big car feel too. Still managed to get the rear out on it and control it quite nicely round a roundabout :D |
