1/4 mile time

Since the beginning of the year me and my mates have been visiting Sanatapod quite a lot. Well pretty much every show and they are all having competitions to get the fastest 1/4 mile time.

I havn't run my Scooby yet as it has only just been finished and won't get a chance now til next year. Any ideas what it will run.

It's a ver 4 STI type r
MD309 hybrid turbo
Full exhaust system with no cats
Induction Kit
Apexi Power FC ECU
Walbro fuel pump
SARD fuel regulator
running 1.5 bar of boost

?????

in a type RA with just a decat i got a 13.1 this was with a relatively poor launch (60ft was 2 seconds)...
a type R/RA as standard is a low 13 second car.....

it all depends on how sympathetic you want to be with your car....
with a great launch and decent shifts you should see somewhere in the 12's no problem

Dill_typeR 08 November 2006 02:11 AM

i reckon high 12's
I own 1 v3 type R absolutely bog standard, and got a 13.2@105mph at the pod and a 13.4 at elvington in the wet at SSO.
As mentioned above, its all in the launch

They can make mid 12s with just a decat, filter and boost controller.

I dont know what the MD309 is capable of at 1 bar?

Some of the above posts are probably irrelevant as they are on different turbos.

What it 'will' run and what it 'can' run are 2 different things ;)

blah blah bob ;)

Sounds like i should be able to get into the twelves with a bit of practice.

The fastest time so far is a 13.09 from my mates 400bhp MR2 turbo and a 13.12 from my mates Skyline which has a T78 turbo and is extremely fast and has a terminal speed of 123mph but he can't get very good quarter mile times due to it being rear wheel drive and spinning the wheels.

Ha ha!
