Mostly involves the water... wakeboarding, jetskiing, powerboating, being towed in ridiculous inflatable toys, laughing at mates being towed along in ridiculous toys!

David Lock 07 November 2006 07:30 PM

Being with the kids has to be top of the list but.......

I still remember (some of) my first Easter Rugby tour when I was about 18. We used to go to a place called Burgh Island in Devon. Watching porn movies backwards, drinking 24/7 and even playing the odd game. Played against Bath 1st in those days (we were a distant second!!).

Oh and poaching for Trout as a kid........ d

Hoppy 07 November 2006 08:58 PM

Watching my son win a National kart race by half a length, beating two British Champions in the process (including Lewis Hamilton). He got a standing ovation. John Button, who prepared our motors back then, said it was "the most exciting race I've ever seen." Fook was I proud :) Still am :D Blubbing now

Richard.

Good stuff. Is he still racing?

SlimJ_2005 07 November 2006 11:44 PM

Spending a year outside the country in Hong Kong, Australia and Bali.

Few of the most memorable fun things from that trip...

Swimming with Whale Sharks
Watching a Shark Feed in the Coral Sea with over 50 sharks
Standing on top of Uluru
Getting washed out on a rip while learning to surf in Bali :D

Sadly not :( You quickly realise that success in motorsport not only requires talent, but a multi-million budget (literally) and a huge helping of luck.

But he sure can drive ;) He took my Scoob around the Nurburgring last year in the pi55ing rain, drifting and sliding past 911s and Ferraris. Only car that passed us was the 500bhp BMW M5 Ring Taxi :D I was frankly shocked by his skill.

But beating Hamilton has had its upsides. They've been family friends ever since and we've enjoyed privileged access to all his recent success. See if you can spot me back-stage in the McLaren garage next year :D :lol1:

Rixhard.

Too true :( Good mate of mine won loads of karting championships, the national sportscar championship and pretty much anything else he entered....but without a rich backer/sponsor he's only racing a few times a year now.

As it was my post to start with I feel I can give Andy and Hoppy a yellow card for a first offence, but repeated transgressions will probably be a SEVERE wrist slapping.:norty:
