Tissy 30 October 2006 08:55 PM

Baz - Your timing with this is excellent. I'm on a track day on the 8th Nov and have been looking for a suction mount for my DV camera. Is there a discount code for Fast Films or how do you get the discount. Do you also know what the discount is ?

I'm up for a GB, but i need mine by the 8th November for a track day.

This is the one i have been recommended by Fast Films for DV cameras and track days, based on price and features etc.

Any one else? If there are a few who want this or any others, i'll see if they offer a GB discount other than the 5%, every little helps !!

subaru impreza parts from scoobyworld, suppliers of high performance products for your Subaru

These do the fantastic little camera I had stuck to my bootlid for the tunnel run. It's only light and stuck on with no problems whatsoever even at "70 mph"

Tissy 31 October 2006 11:09 AM

I did look at that, but they are £150 aren't they and they still need the DV camera for recording?

I just need a decent mount to mount my DV camera to the rear screen for in-car views.

Steve

A few people have mounts, if you ask nicely then you may beable to borrow one?

sod it, if I can have complete immunity to speeding fines I'll BUY you one :lol1:

bibo_boy 31 October 2006 11:30 AM

I was interested in one of these.....

Only cheap but I was only after in-car stuff?

Tissy 31 October 2006 11:51 AM

Phil 31 October 2006 11:59 AM

Tissy

Baz has the SIDC Club one which your welcome to borrow for your track day

Phil 31 October 2006 12:00 PM

Scoobyworld and Motorsport Cameras are run by the same people ;)

Tissy 31 October 2006 12:21 PM

Excellent, thanks very much Phil, i will contact Baz then to arrange collection.

Do you know what model of mount it is.

I've just managed to figured out how to get my DV camera into AV mode !!

I have a really small CMOS camera which i might mount in / out of the car also for the full effect !!

Ultimately all this will be done by the CarPC once i finish the recording software. That way you can have up to 4 cameras on the car and switch between them when recording in digital onto the hard drive. Real techie stuff, but full camera car without the bulk.

Thanks again,

Steve

I have Tiny's one. I have no idea what plans he has for it over the next fe weeks. If he is agreeable then I could drop it into Boreham on my way through one day? Flame the HQ :D

Tissy 31 October 2006 12:31 PM

I'm actually based at Tilbury, but i'm sure we can meet at some stage during the week.

Cheers.

Phil 31 October 2006 12:37 PM
