Xbox 360 deals?

Just walking back to the office and saw an offer in the Argos window for:

xbox 360 premium at 279.99 with a megapack? and a game.

Argos - CHRISTMAS MEGA DEALS - www.argos.co.uk

I'm after a 360 game(s) and possibly a 32" HD tv. Where should I look?

Is Argos / Game et all the high street places the best bet or would any of you peeps like to recommend me a place to look?

Thanks as always

Esh

Toshiba's 32WLT66 is available for £628 (should be £1100!) - check out what hi-fi for its 5 star review, recently bought the 37" and love it.

I can't see what the mega pack is, sounds like the Premium console.:wonder:

I got mine from curry's online, but you'll need a few discount codes - I'll try and find them and post them up.

I tried the codes I found but the £200 off for curry's was no longer valid.

there's also PRFREEDEL to get the £20 delivery charge knocked off & PRICE10 to get an extra 10% off.

Kelkoo have a few places listing the WL66 (The 'T' in the code refers to it having a built in freeview decoder) for around £566...

Kind of veered off towards tvs LOL.

Looking about it would seem that you won't see any price cuts this side of xmas or until PS3 is upon us.

I'm going to see if I can get a deal by purchasing both at the same time.

You can get a S/H premium from Game @ £240.00. Saw this one at the Islington Game.

Toys R Us may do good deals (BOGOF games)but don't seem to update their website often enough

May aim for a system with one game and aditional wireless controller for about £280.00 as this seems a common deal.

What ever happened to good deals of old. Seems that margins may be tight to retailers.

Not sure what you mean KIWI

Neanderthal 02 November 2006 11:15 AM

During the pre-launch events, MS used Samsung TV's to display the 360.

I got you.

I found this just now.

Tesco.com - Unexpected error occured

Don't worry the link is working

marklemac 28 November 2006 07:03 PM

Thought I'd bump this up.

I'm in the market for a 360.

Play.com seem to have a couple of good package deals for around £269 and £289

Any other recommended places to source one ?

Sleazy Badger 28 November 2006 09:26 PM

TBH mate the packages available are all much of a muchness. Just depends what bundled game you want with it. As has already been mentioned £270-£290 is the going rate for the premium pack, extra 'troller, headset and game etc.

:)

RichB 28 November 2006 10:35 PM

Blockbuster - 4 games, 1 wireless controller, £50 rental vouchers and premium pack for £350

redxiii 28 November 2006 10:35 PM

picked up a premium pack, pro evo soccer 6 and Gears of War as a bundle for £279.99 which I thought was good as both were games I liked the look of. From GameStation.
My local GameStation run different offers each weekend, not sure if they all do

AllanB 29 November 2006 01:01 AM

I've got a brand new sealed one sitting here as I ended up with two. Premium pack with Ghost recon so has the hard rive, wireless controller, Xbox live, scart lead, ethernet cable etc

More detials in the sale section but email me if interested at allan.bayman@btinternet.com

I got mine from Game as they were doing a weekend special (which I think changes each weekend). Got the Premium Pack with extra controller, Pro Evo 6 and PGR3 for £299.99 plus you can buy another game from a list for £20. Most of the games on the list are all the latest ones so for £299/£320 I hadn't seen any better offers about.

ESH 29 November 2006 03:19 PM

I bought my 360 from an independent retailer close to where I worked as I didn't want to give my business to the big stores. Paid £300 for a premium pack 2 games (Battlefield MC & Far Cry) and two wireless pads.

I also got a Samsung R32 LCD HDTV for £645.

I've since been on a spending blitz getting COD 3, Gears of War, DVD controller, wireless access point, Just Cause (Game deal of the day) and another two pads for 4 player death maches which are cool on a 32inch screen.

Not the best deal in the end but what I saved on the TV (can now get it for £605 I think) I got more for the 360.

Regards

Esh

If you were lucky you could have got a 360 (Premium or Core) FREE from Tesco earlier this week but it appears they've fixed their incorrect prices now ;)

marklemac 30 November 2006 07:44 AM

Just ordered it from play.com

Can't wait for it to arrive :)

boxst 30 November 2006 09:59 AM

Hello

Not a bad time to buy it from Argos as they are giving vouchers for >£100 purchase.

Steve
