Just wondering if anyone here was driving a 22B in Mansfield today. The front plate was highly illegal as it was a stick on WRC plate not very visible on the front bumper.
Haven't seen it around B4. Driver waved as I passed him so maybe uses the Forum. Cheers Lee |
Don't know the car, but it apparently is always parked outside the Snooker hall in the middle of the town?
Young lad drives it? |

Ye,will the law be pulling richard and juha for illegal plates?
|
Kev,
The plate wasn't even forward facing, you would have to be above the car to see it. Only noticed it had a front plate at all when he got right beside me. Still I know what you mean with the legality of some of the WRC stuff. Police seam to have tightened up over the last few years, remember a few damaged cars not being allowed to drive on the road. Must be a slight disappiontment if you have done a full championship and loose it because some plod pulls you up on the road section. Lee |
loads of plates will be illegal as of 01/04/01 - as it can only be in ONE font then - and the law is retro in this instance - so beware all those with fancy plates!!

Not quite, anyone with currently legal fonts will be ok until they need to buy a new one. I think there are currently 4 legal fonts one of which is Eurostyle.
Now is the time to stock up on number plates as you wont be able to buy them as from next march (legally). The new one is 'Charles Wright' and looks pants. |
Nice font! Yawn!
Mind you, if it means we get rid of crap 'wiggly' number plates it can't be all bad! 'Cept it is prats who will try and get away with it! Saw <B>'PHAT FORD'</B> at the bottom of a wiggly plate on an Orion belching out blue smoke! Niiiiiiice!!! They can't even spell! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif (What's wrong with <B>FAT FORD</B> anyway? They both start with F!) |
