Mortgage Payment Insurance

Currently doing a Transfer of Equity to get the ex removed from the mortgage. At the same time looking at Mortgage Payment Insurance for Unemployment cover. Building Society (YBS) want £28pm to cover £1,000 (covers my mortgage and the ins premium) with a 1 month excess. Wondering if anyone has found a cheaper deal recently.

I pay £70 - £80 pm for £1400 coverage ( I have heard that the cheaper deals will worm their way out of paying 99 times out of 100)

If you still need to look into this drop me a PM. I deal with a company that's very competitive.
