Young kids and reactions to vaccinations

Anyone else have their little one vaccinated with the new meningitis vaccine? Maddy, our 22 month old had it yesterday and has been unwell ever since, being sick etc. I'm sure it's fine but wondered if this reaction is normal?

Not noticed it in any of ours, but one was in some discomfort following a set of holiday jabs, next day running round as if nothing had hapened.

what are the symptoms? how long ago did it happen? if your concerned give your gp a ring, or are you just being worried new parents? is it your first or second? by your second, youve got all the coursework completed, and become very laid back!!!

give your gp a ring they,ll be best to advise

Hi Mart,

Wifey's taking her to the GP clinic this morning. She's our second so are much more laid back but she's been unwell sice the jab on Friday and is constantly sick and lethargic.

Anyway, thanks for the reply, better get off to the docs.

This'll bring up some extreme comments from various members on here but we've not had our's vaccinated at all (now 28 months). The more you read into vaccination and it's effects the less likely you are to have it done. And your GP is not the best placed to give advice - it may be mere coincidence but they get bonuses based on the % of their patients that get immunised (or did at least). And did we need all of these immunisations when we were kids? It'll have absolutely nothing to do with the big drug companies wanting to get new sources of revenue though ... of course not ... all about our *health* and nothing more ..

Sorry to be so cynical ....

Yes and the more you read about the moon landings, the more you believe it was all filmed in a studio. The more you read about 9-11, the more you realise it was George Bush who personally blew the towers up. :brickwall

But he did ..... him and Donald Runsfelt - they parachuted out just before the twin towers were hit ... :D :D

Back to topic, out of 58 kids in his nursery, older and younger, he is the most active and most curious ...

Echo: see what the GP says - ask him/her for a list of all known reactions to the vaccine. They HAVE to have it IMHO.
And sorry to sorta hijack the thread. It is worrying when your kiddie has something wrong and they can't explain what it is/how they feel.

Dave
