80s song? Really bugging me!

Thought the lyrics of the chorus were something like this:

wouldn't it be nice to be together
woulnt it be nice for just one day

Cheesy 80s ballad I'm sure but its really getting to me that I cannot find out what it is!

Tried the usual google lyrics searches, itunes etc but to no avail...
