Quick Help please on driving to London

My boy has to drive from Sussex (Billingshurst) to Farringdon Road this afternoon for gig this evening. Which is easiest route bearing in mind he is new to all this.

Now he can either go

1) A23 up through Brixton, Kennington and over River

2) A24 up through Clapham

3) M24/M40 and across to Kings Cross area

4) A N Other???

TIA, David

Its a bitch for any of those routes, but if he's never done it before at least the A23 will get him straight to Elephant and Castle, then its London bridge and he's there

I can get to HR & GW from Chi, either A3 (long / avoid hindehead) or a27 - pease pottage m23 and on- (GW) or arundel and up to guildford cross country and then onto the 25 (HR) both take about 1.5-2 hrs going onto london dont know whether this helps

A23 to the bottom of Southwark Street , then straight up across Blackfriars Bridge , over Fleet street and under Holborn viaduct. 1 straight road only.

Thanks guys - I'll let him know.

The AA and RAC give different routes against exactly the same criteria!! The RAC said turn LEFT at a particular junction about 6 miles away and I know for sure it's a RIGHT turn so you can't even trust their bloody directions. In fact the whole thing is an expensive nightmare what with unloading and then parking let alone dealing with the congestion charge  Just so he plays in a gig with a lousy crowd and doesn't receive a penny. All for so called promotion but I suppose it's got to be done. At the Betsey Trotwood if anyone knows it! Thanks again. david
