Fruit Flies

Anyone else getting loads of the little buggers, I mentioned it to my brother thinging it was a problem specific to our house but he said he has them as well.

Had a load last year but this was due to the chilli plant growing on the kitchen window sill.

Might be worth checking your houseplants.

Yeah, there was a mouldering Fairtrade pineapple and some decaying flowers but they are long gone.

Ah, Drosophila melanogaster, the dark-bodied dew-lover.:thumb:

I got them at my place as well, first time I can really remember seeing them, seems to be a few of them and they doing my head in.

Have checked about the place and even stopped Dave coming round cos he's a fruit, but they still seem to be hanging about.

You need an electric fly swatter - best 4€ I ever spent :D

Like a little tennis racket, but the strings are metal, and you put a battery or two in the handle - think you can probably guess the rest ;)

There is something sooooo pleasing about watching the sparks arcing over the fly, and then the smoke pouring off it..... :thumb:
