Saving Recordings from Sky+

Hello

I don't really want to buy a DVD recorder, although I'm up for buying a Freeview Box with build in HDD (like this: Shop for Digihome PVR160 Twin Tuner Freeview with 160Gb HDD. at Argos.co.uk) if that would work.

So, is there a way of taking recordings from Sky+, and does another type of HDD recorder store the programs in a friendly format?

Thanks for your help.

The saved Sky+ programs are played back via the scart/AV cables or ariel cable as in a normal picture... so any form of recording device capable of recording TV programs will work....... as long as its tuned in.

I've a DVD-R & HDD attached to my Sky+ and use both :thumb:

Thanks for the answer.

The question is then whether your HDD (like the one in my original message) stores the video unencrypted so I can transfer it to my computer?

Yes, you are able to transfer from SKY + HDD to PC, VCR, DVD-R etc
