JDM STi v UK STi
Just a question i have wondered for a bit...
I know on UK fuel a UK STi will put out 265BHP (ish) when on the rollers.. and a JDM from Litchfield (once remapped for UK fuel) can put out more like 300BHP... but my question is: How much power does a JDM STi produce on JDM fuel before it gets a remap here? Are they that much more powerful? or would a UK STi be able to produce a similar figure with a similar remap to those the JDM cars get before they are handed to customers? |
depends on the age. 04-05s came off the boat with about 310bhp i think. remap and exhaust gets 350bhp. uk specs won't have the twin scroll turbo etc which do improve performance. do a search - you will find loads of info:)

So a JDM on JDM fuel runs 310BHP? or is that after remap for UK fuel?

It says on the Litchfield site:
As with all of our JDM Subaru’s the ECU is remapped and tuned for the UK’s lower octane fuel and these new improvements mean we will be able to offer even greater performance on the new model. As suspected Subaru’s power figure of 280bhp from the factory was on the conservative side, our MY06/07 Spec C demonstrator consistently produced over 307bhp despite having a relatively tight new engine with only 160km on the clock. Each car will be individually tuned on our Rolling Road and we expect to see 320bhp from the standard car with improved fuel consumption. |
Would the Spec C have a higher power output than a standard STi in Japan as standard though?
