ebay help needed

Firts of all i want to say im sorry for starting anothe ebay topis!!!
I need some help as im new to ebay. my auction has finished on my fonr. however the person with the winning bid is registrered in the USA with 0 feedback.
i sent the invoice to em and now i get an email saying that wants me to send the item to Nigeria, however they state that they will pay by paypal.

i know the scam with cheque and bankers draft etc, but what is this paypal?
will i get my money? or is this a scam?

also if i relist they item, can the "buyer" leave me negative feedback??

any help greatly appreciatted.

Has scam all over it.

He'll pay, you'll send and then he'll do a charge-back, leaving you with no cash or item.

Leave well alone!

What's the item number?

Just offer item to 2nd high bidder on 2nd chance offer

it's a scam , , that's all there is to it !! and yes they can leave negative feedback if they are that way inclined.

thanks guys, didnt know they could get there cash back.
with the second choice option do i have to give it to what his bid was? as that was abit low? or would i be better just relisting the item? but would i get charged twice from ebay?

sorry for all the thisck questions!

You have to accept the bid if doing it via ebay.

Maybe not much help now, but on your auctions state clearly you will only post to registered PayPal addresses.

They may bid, but you just cancel them for not following instructions.

and unfortunately my new found 'US' friend who is definately not Nigerian (i know this because she told me in very poor English ;)) its just her husband is a god fearing(sic) nigerian and she wants my phone as an aniversary present. She also read that i will not in any way ship this product out of the UK but she has paid an extra 30 quid into my account so that I will ;)

To be honest if anyone actually ever falls for this then fair play to them! its just its such a big waste of time to me!!

so what happens, do they actually send the money to you then or what? if so what do you do with it?

richardg 11 October 2006 04:48 PM

i had a US bidder on a video camera a few weeks ago. wanted me to use "makebusiness.com" - i was polite to start with while i looked into who they were, what they were buying etc and then asked on here about makebusiness.com. can;t remember the user name (sorry), but someone checked the detail on the web and it looked even more dodgy!

reported the user to ebay and they dealt with it
