I watched last weeks episode a few days ago and it was one of the worst bits of TV I have ever had the misfortune to witness. I was ashamed to be watching it.........

Even Jordan doesn't suck as much as that show :D

davyboy 09 October 2006 08:24 PM

You see them buttons with numbers on, press one.

pslewis 09 October 2006 08:35 PM

Robin Mullan 09 October 2006 08:36 PM

Oh God this is such unbelievable rubbish

How can they think this is TV ?????

Just review the bloody cars !!!!

Terzo 333 09 October 2006 08:46 PM

I find myself watching it because it actually is that bad :D

legb4rsk 09 October 2006 09:16 PM

Absolute p*ss take!
I really hate it .I can only assume these overpaid 'celebs' think the public are beneath contempt.

jonc 09 October 2006 09:22 PM

Fortunately I'm too much of a car freak not to watch it. OK the presenting is BAD, but in between, we still get to see some cars like the new Elise, and the..er...Elise despite the naff bits like watching someone trying to do burnouts on a bike or watching Dukes of Hazzard style car jumps from an armco. One cr@p car programme is better than no car programme. Just hope they bring back TopGear soon 'cos I dpn't know how much more I can take!!

unclebuck 09 October 2006 09:28 PM

Top Gear has been axed. Better get used to it.

I watched the first 15 minutes of the first show of this series and haven't watched it since. I actually choose to watch Coronation Street instead of 5th Gear, that's how bad it is.

Nothing there except the usual non-committal platitudes....

What you would expect really - hand fed PR 'advice' handed down to the Top Gear team from 'on high' by those who are seeking to make sure Top Gear never returns. The 'official' response seeking to sound 'with it' and 'trendy' and 'upbeat' but failing miserably

dtriggs 10 October 2006 08:09 AM

Nothing except that Filming has resumed...isnt that the point ? So Top Gear hasnt been axed.

pwhittle 10 October 2006 08:57 AM

Utter dross last night.
Who is the new presenter? The one with less charisma then a, well, Mitsubishi.

"It's exactly like driving a car". Er, no. It exactly like drive a quick van. Obviously they haven't let him out in anything decent yet.
I can only assume he's related to the boss.

As for VBH's sister - didn't get the looks did she?!!

Daz34 10 October 2006 10:00 AM

What a waste that LP640 review was.
First they try & fail to race a Tornado jet in a straight line so then we get throttle blips and little else.
Utter ****e.
That was a new Sky+ record for me at just 6 minutes.

Did that include the ads?:lol1:

wrxseeker 10 October 2006 10:10 AM

I cannot believe how bad that new presenter was last night - luckily I had missed the previous episodes this series.

rossyboy 10 October 2006 10:19 AM

To be fair, Lovejoy is pretty good on Soccer AM on sky sports 1. He's done that show for years.

wrxseeker 10 October 2006 10:46 AM

Well going on the evidence of last night he should stick to antiques !!!

Vapid 10 October 2006 10:54 AM

Why would anyone be interested in seeing yet another member of thunder thighs family learning to drive?
Total waste of a chance to review the new entry level Elise.

It's utter balls but does have that car crash quality that means you can't help looking.

Also that cnut mockney makes me want to smash the TV in.

stilover 10 October 2006 10:59 AM

I'm watching it now, just for the prize.

Last nights was utter cr@p. Like said above, the LP640 review, was not a review. Blipping the throttle is not a review.
Kept turning it over when:
VBH was driving her sister about

They reviewed the Skoda something or other. God those women were ugly, especially the buck toothed one in the nurses outfit :nono:

Racing the vans

After I'd entered the competition for the Elise, I saw very little more of the program. Watched more Rouge Trader's than 5th Gear.
Will still watch next week though. Mostly to enter the competition though.

Yes next will be some bloke who fingered her when she was 13 and her great Grandma's corpse. Wonder what kind of time the old girl will manage on the track?
