What a day !!!!

I would like to thank everybody who turned up even though the weather and road conditions were so bad Yes [Y] Thanks for braving it and making the day go well Big Smile [:D]

We had a turn out of some very nice cars and a few surprises for those who thought they had the power but did not ( huh Cliff !!!!!) Nice to meet the Scoobynet guys who made it as well as the few evo's and the corrolla and the Fiesta St which made spot on the Fords power figures !!!!!! Shame we could not get the correct reading on the RX7 but thats rear wheel drive for you Wink [;)]

Looking forward to the next one where hopefully ill have a little more power !!!!!!!

Cheers to Iian at Power Engineering for getting so much done even though he was all alone most of the day, TOP BLOKE as usual Cool [H], and PELE for sorting out eberybody and getting it running smoothly as usual !!!!

See you all soon

Thanks to Pele, the Kent Scoobies and Power engineering(especially Iain :notworthy ), for the excellent time I had today :thumb:

Good to see lots of old friends there today, good to meet some new ones too.

Am I the only person in the world to hit 50bhp over my guesstimate and still not be happy? :wonder: Booking in with PE on monday for getting my fueling issue sorted :thumb:

You never happy Cliff :lol1: 340bhp is great, whats wrong with the fueling then :wonder:

edited....just seen your post on Kent Scoobies :thumb: well you have just fitted a full decat so i would assume the fueling would me wrong

v5 man 26 November 2006 12:50 PM

Not as simple as that Ian. When you decat an Evo its possible it`ll hit fuel cut on very cold days when the dense air can make it hit 1.3 bar, standard is 1.1 bar max. Mine is hitting fuel cut at just over 1.1 bar and theres a few factors and reasons it could be doing this.
It could be a dirty/blocked fuel filter, it could be the actuator, it could be the MAF.
Iain Ball is confident it wont need a remap, and he says he`ll sort it out.
He explained that due to running lean the ecu reduces the torque and gives more bhp, hence my low torque and high power figure.

loony toon 26 November 2006 01:12 PM

Or it could be another dodgy car !!!!

Or just the driver , huh Cliff

Excuses excuses lol

I hope you get it all sorted soon then Cliff as we don't want you having the same problem as you did with the scoob do we

Stuart Knight 26 November 2006 02:14 PM

I wasn't too dissapointed with mine. Made 1.4bar on the rollers, 1.5 on the open road, so still abit more there than the rollers show :)

Of course many thanks have to go to Andy F and Paul @ Zen for the mapping, and Dave at Riboro 4 Wheel Drive for the many hours spent working on the car. Thanks chaps

v5 man 26 November 2006 05:37 PM

Thats a fantastic figure Stuart :) Sounded pretty awesome on the rollers too.

I`ve checked my diary and hopefullymine will go in on the 8th of December for a lookey-see check over and fix:)

loony toon 26 November 2006 06:13 PM

They will sort it for you Cliff !!!!

Then you will have 300 bhp instead but safe lol

Good to see you though

Tony

v5 man 26 November 2006 06:31 PM

300.1 bhp would be great :D

Always good to see you mate, look forward to another one soon :)

Thanks JohnD

PS I believe there was only one person who forgot to pop upstairs and pay?

That was sorted out John, it turned out that Iain had told the bloke not to pay as he couldn't keep the car from slipping on the rollers and therefore he couldn't get a proper power figure - he just forgot to inform me or the office lol.

Thanks everyone for your kind words, and looking forward to the next one when hopefully mine will have a few extra horses.... ;)

Thanks for letting me run. Slight error with my figures though, made 224lbs/ft torque.

Yep and that was me, hence the low figure. Should have made about 20bhp more
