2001 MY Pollen Filter

Does my Bugeye have a pollen filter and if so how do I get to it to replace it??

Barmyclown 09 October 2006 07:31 PM

yes it does, and it is behind the glovebox, I think you need to take that oout and undo 4 screws. I`m sure it`s in the owners manual how to do it.

Replace with a Nissan (N2 iirc) as they're a LOT cheaper and with a little trim off one end fit perfetly..!;)

Try a search using [pollen+filter+nissan] if you can't find it PM me as I have it noted somewhere and I'll dig it out..;)

Ok , found it thanks to Jase. Removed the glove box to find this

Remove the white flap and you get this opening where the filter sits.

and this is the filter, doesn't look too bad but was full of seeds, grit, flies etc..

Off to search Google and Ebay for a suitable cheap replacement. Halfords tomorrow if I must :D

Thanks for all the help, Andy

Bit pricey though.

Is that according to the website, try ringing them , I had mine changed last year when it was seviced. And i`m pretty sure it only cost around 12 quid plus vat. I wouldn`t trust the website I don`t think the parts are updated that often.

I called them and thats the price. They told me they had only sold 2 in 3 years! Replaced with a cheap filter that was roughly the right size. Most of the cheap ones dont have a carbon layer, they are just paper or cotton. The puravent one above does have carbon though.
