In the end a standard car is always worth more than one someone has ruined.
Just look at the market for MKII Golfs, an original one sells for top whack, anything modded is virtually worthless.

If we bought the car for residual values, they would never be driven.
The point of ownership is to enjoy the car and all it has to offer. In the case of Subarus, part of that owenrship enjoyment, is making the car individual and personalised!
I like nothing more than attending a meet and seeing all the cars lined up and finding that almost every car is different from the next!

Above all that....... theyre crap in standard form:confused:

lol how do you work that out? I've got one for you WHG345T=williamT, or maybe it doesn't. I love these conundrum private plates people have, all you need is a bit of imagination and leap of faith and you could make any random collection of numbers and letters mean almost anything.:)

Also if this didn't come with the WR option and you've modded it why do you think it's worth 10K?

Why do you care and what is your point????

Mark knows the market for resale on this model of car as people actually come to Mark for his options as he is the Chairman of the RB5 Owners Club. Which is a very likeable community of people and just the ESC but does not have a wind up merchant like you on the forum.

Why you enjoy slagging off people no one knows. I have now added what I think of your mindless pointless comments. So I can now ignore you like everyone else.

Who said anything about car park meetings?
I like nothing more than taking mine to the track... It's such a great feeling being able to mix it up with such a variety of different brands of vehicles.
Even better when the so called up market brand cars, can't keep up! :norty:

rb5 286 11 October 2006 01:01 PM

Vapid: The majority of the mods I have done, have added performance & power to an already nice car but there's nothing to stop me being able to return it standard form again (apart from the front brakes that wont take the 17" RB5 wheels!!!) and I'm not bothered about the mods I have done detracting the value.

I have built the car to how I wanted it because it was MY car - the next owner is welcome to do what they want to it, rip it apart and melt it down for all I care - as long as I have £10k sitting in my bank.

I'm not lowering myself to your level and getting into a slagging match, I would say you're entitled to your opinions but I doubt that what you have said are your true opinions as you're one & only obvious intent is to annoy and slag off as many threads as you can on SN.

You are getting very boring now

 Sorry but "crap" is strong. Ok most of us guys have modified there's in some way but the standard car is hardly crap!!!

Looks like another armwrestle is required :D

Mine looks stock but its far from it.

Call me blonde here but i dont get that?? The whole time my car was stock i complained constantly that is was pants.. to the point where i nearly sold it.

It took christ knows how much money, thrown at it before i started to get happy with it.

Phil, in standard form "especially the UK cars, not so much the JDM cars theyre pretty pants". Handling is poor but saved by loads of grip. Cars are actually pretty slow with absolutly No get up and go after 100mph.

Yes i can fully appreciate i got out of a modified cosworth (which i might add are also crap in standard form). The sccoby was a big let down, hence taking it to Zak and saying.. make this thing go and handle like it should!!
