They are rather nice arnt they!

Dunno exactly what they are - the car was imported with them, they have 'speedline' stickers on one spoke per wheel..... it does say what they are on the center car, havnt bothered to look though.... will do next time I am out in the freezing cold!

Cheers mate

POC 19 November 2001 09:30 AM

I will keep my 16s, they look good and I cant currently see any point in upgrading to 17/18s..... until I stick on some monster brakes next year :)

P

ChristianR 19 November 2001 10:04 AM

i am going be upgrading my brakes soon, well been saying that for a while now, just trying to find the right wheels! and i do like the ones i have now, just want them biggger to fit some 6pots:)

POC 21 November 2001 10:19 AM

I am thinking about a set of white wheels.... saw a pic of Maxy_UK's car in here somewhere and it looked great!

P

Markus 21 November 2001 03:36 PM

wow! seems that there are a few more owners out there with the same wheels. The blackbeast has the same wheels as you guys. What I have found out is that they are MiM wheels, made for Mim by speedline (hence the by speedline writing on the spokes) but that's about it. Was going to get new wheels, but seeing as there are not that many of us with these about I think I might just get them resprayed anthracite or black.

POC 21 November 2001 03:59 PM

I did consider getting mine refurbished in White.... dont think I could be arsed to clean em every 5 mins though.

Will get them done in silver, anyone know where I can get the speedline stickers from?

Cheers

Paul

Markus 23 November 2001 10:57 AM

ChristianR,
yup, mine are 16 inchers too. been thinking about 17 inch wheels but think I'll stick with mine.

Markus 28 November 2001 01:48 PM

ChristianR, POC,

what brakes do you currently have under your wheels? I'm hoping that one of you is going to say AP Racing 4-pot, which would make my day.

POC 28 November 2001 01:51 PM

Std stuff for me matey....
Will be looking at some big brakes next year.....

Cheers

Paul

Markus 28 November 2001 02:23 PM

Paul,
thanks for the reply. I too have the standard but want bigger better brakes and the AP 4-pot kit looks like a winner, if it fits! I know that subaru 4-pots do fit and my friend had them under the same wheels as we have.

POC 06 December 2001 02:19 PM

Markus, did u find out if the AP stuff would fit under the 16in wheels we have?

Am interested in a set of these myself now....

Cheers

Paul

JAMES BUSHELL 06 December 2001 03:02 PM

POC..

The Wheels are Speedlines..... I had them on my WRX when it came from Japan, i then upgraded to 17" white Compomotive MO's :D:D..The grip isn't any better, but the turn in is a bit sharper.. as i kept the same width of 205...

Have a look on the Clang-N-Ball area of my Brothers Web Site...

Mines the one on the left...!
