Addiction to pancakes & maple syrup, US stylee

I've come back from the States with an addiction to pancakes & maple syrup - is there anywhere over here that does this stuff ?!?!

Don't count McDonalds, as its $hit in comparison!

Anyone else tried this place while in the States ?

No, I've come from a 2 week driving holiday around France, Germany and Italy, followed by a 4 day weekend in New York.

I'm very depressed about the state of food in the UK now.

Most modern NZ and Australia restaurants put the British ones to shame.

It's very hard to find reasonably priced quality restaurants in the UK that don't serve reheated muck that is served to you by someone who can hardly speak English.

When I first got to Texas I was going to Denny's once a week, and having a decent sized breakfast accompanied by 5 pancakes (I could never finish them!!!) but I've cut this out now as I'd just feel so "stodged up" all day and was rapidly straining the waist on my jeans!!! :D

The food in Texas is more about quantity than quality, (you have to pay highly, and travel far, for really good food) however, even though most of the food is pretty poor, it is still better than bad food in the UK, :cuckoo: and at least it's cheap and there's enough for two! :thumb:

True, but they seem to know how to cook steak, ribs, fried chicken, shrimps, bagels and pancakes properly. New York is pretty good for breakfasts.
