McGard locking wheel nuts for Classic???
Hi
Can anyone tell me if the following spec. would be the correct McGard locking wheel nuts for the Classics (specifically, my car is a MY93 WRX, GC8A48D)... '24154S' - M12 x 1.25 ...I know that McGard also do 'Tuner' versions for narrow bolt holes on modern-day alloys. I'm going to purchase some brand new 17s soon... Would I require this narrow 'Tuner' style nut, or will normal suffice?... Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you John |
Depends on the type of wheels you're going to get and what diameter the holes are.
Subaru dealers will do you a set of McGards as standard now. Normal part no 24152 and 25254 for slim 'tuner' version |
mmm i need some locking nuts aswell! i have aftermarket alloys so i would probably need the tuner ones then? what price are they?

McGards are usually £25~30 mark

for that price they make a worthwile investment so do the tuner ones fit most aftermarket alloys? i have a set of inovit's on my wrx:) will i be be able to get some at halfords or somewhere like so i can try before i buy?

Tuner versions will probably fit 99% of all wheels due to their smaller diameter.
I think you can get them from Halfrauds, they're Thatchem approved and one of the best you can get. http://www.mcgard.com/automotive/ |
ok cheers richichie will go take a look

M12 x 1.25 (SILVER)... '25254' M12 x 1.25 (BLACK).... '25354' Try eBay first - you might find them on there at a slightly reduced price, but bank on spending between £25-£35, regardless... |
