I thought you'd got rid of the RS6 before getting the M5! Now it will be costing you a lot! :D

Edcase 04 October 2006 10:38 AM

That was the plan!!!!

But then I found 'the right' M5 when just browsing to get an idea of what was on the market!

I might just keep them both, they look good as a pair ;)*

*kidding, just kidding. I think.

Nice - but the gorilla at Bristol Zoo is better, good photo :)

austen_wrx 04 October 2006 10:56 AM

Friend of mine, spent a lot on it, doesn't get used much, has older m5 as run around. Pictures are rubbish as teken by his son on a camera phone :p some better ones will follow...

madisonmonkey 04 October 2006 05:29 PM

Hey Ed, isn't it time you changed your location? It may not have 8 pots but 2WD is much more fun:) Nice pics.

Rubbish! Prefer the blonde pillow fighting ;)

Very nice cars mate :thumb:

The_Gza 04 October 2006 07:37 PM

Nice :thumb: How does the garage thingie work?

Edcase 04 October 2006 07:54 PM

You just turn a key inside and it goes up and down! Great idea really as there's not a lot of room for cars otherwise. Then they've built a garden on the roof of it, with self watering grass, and an automated robo-mower! Whatever next?!

Jer 04 October 2006 08:31 PM

Love the Audi, pitty I did not know I would have fancied a swap and some cash. Does the Audi feel much faster? How do they compare?

Mine: http://www.jwie.f2s.com/M5%20web/m5back2.JPG

Edcase 04 October 2006 09:44 PM

Nice, colour, not seen too many of those.

I haven't really taken the M5 by the scruff yet. The RS feels like it accelerates faster due to the character of the turbos, and hides the actual speed very well too, whereas the M5 seems to feel like you are going fast even when you are doing 70 or 80. I like the instant hit of the M5 thought, plus the much higher revs! (oh, and the rwd :thumb:)

Yuppy corporate slut! ;)

Very well written add, I like the part about no meets in dodgy alleys! :lol1: :thumb:

Nice car too.

Gastro 05 October 2006 12:58 PM

Ed,

Off topic slightly - but what lens did you use to take those interior shots ?
A fisheye I assume :)

Edcase 05 October 2006 01:38 PM

Nevetas, I'm sure you can relate given the frequency you change cars (and the type of cars they are!)

Gastro, yes it was the nikon 10.5mm fisheye. Great lens, but I'm still getting to grips with it, it's by no means point and shoot!

Edcase 05 October 2006 01:43 PM

Thinking about taking it to Bedford next saturday to have a play with the limits. Anyone else going?

mynickers 05 October 2006 03:03 PM

Yeah, welllll, that's nothing. Look at my new bike.

Getting some spokey-dokeys next week and everything.

Made the right choice MR. always had to be the Beemer. Hopefully you won't get as much road rage in the 5 over the 3.

That's a good point, I've never felt so much negative feeling in any car as I did with the M3 hire car I had! It was incredible! The RS on the other hand seems to get universal nods of respect. I think the 5 will hover somewhere in the middle.

You fancy coming to bedford next weekend then? You can tell me which way the track goes through the passenger side window ;)

If its the passengers side front window you're not really trying!!!:)
