Chuffing oil filler
 

Getting a lot of chuffing and fumes out of my oil filler if I take the cap off and when its on from the crank case breather which vents into the atmosphere. Drives fine but guess this shouldn't be happening - it didn't until 3 weeks ago. Any ideas....?

when you crank the engine to start does it sound as though theres a quick bit when the engine is turning before it fires?

haven't really noticed but I'll check it out - what would cause it to speed up....?

Ooerr. Get a compression check on the cylinders. Monitor oil useage until you get it done.
