Rally school

Guys,

Anyone fancy a mass trip to Monaghan to Rally School Ireland?

I was there on Friday(again) and it really is an impressive setup.
see www.rallyschoolireland.ie for more details.
They've a load of cars which I've driven most except the 6R4, Audi & Mini

I'm friendly with the owner and could probably organise a decent group discount if there's enough interest.

I'd definately be up for going again anyway.

Shaun,

It is great craic but it may be an idea to get a group rate from RSI and then gauge the interest.

I would be interested but it comes down to cost

pnbond007 04 October 2006 09:52 AM

I would defo go again, but it would need to be in the spring time next year..

Personaly I would go for the top day, which would include the 6R4 & Quattro

buzzard 04 October 2006 09:22 PM

current commitments dont allow for it in the near future but sometime down the line yes.

OK Guys,

For the Impreza Day its normally €445 euro per person.
See the website for what you get to drive.
I've got a price for 16 of us, this would workout €400 euro each.

This includes lunch, prizes/trophys etc.

For all us sterling blokes, its around £270 fro the day.

So, lets see who would like to go.

See next thread, add a name

Might be interesed plus mate would to,any rough date yet?

urban 06 October 2006 10:36 AM

Was sort of hoping for this month really.

But it all depends on how many we can get to go.

It is bound to be a great day, I've been a few times and every time I've had a real good laugh.
The guys are very friendly, and will push you to go quicker you if they think you've got the ability.

I'd be interested :)

Curtiz 26 November 2006 08:25 PM

how old do u have to be to go to this?

urban 27 November 2006 11:37 AM

Do you have a driving license?

the_msp 27 November 2006 05:48 PM

Their website states:
*

You don’t have to be a fantastic driver to come to Rally School Ireland.
*

All you need is basic driving skills.
*

You must be 17 or over to participate.
*

No licence is required for our standard courses only for the Executive Supercar course.

And yes I have a license (road) if the question was directed at me...

I can possibly get a friend to go too...

urban 27 November 2006 06:06 PM

Well I was just going to say that if you have a driving license, regardless of how long you've held it for then you're bound to have the basic driving skills required.

Being over 17 means you sign you're own disclaimer sheet, i.e. understand that you're about to take a risk at you're own expense if something happened.

Its a lot of fun, I've been quite a few times myself and know the owner reasonably well.

the_msp 02 December 2006 04:07 PM

So 5ish so far... how about we go as a group anyway even if we can't get 16?

Urban, in your experience when's the best time of year to go?

urban 04 December 2006 12:25 PM

Monaghan's weather is very unpredictable.

When to go - depends on whether you'd prefer a dry or wet track.
If its greasy then its awfull, seriously slippy, even for the Impreza.

At this stage its probably better to leave it until next year, especially with Christmas approaching at a frightening rate!

I had posted this on the isdc.ie forum, there were a few interested on there too.

Shaun

the_msp 04 December 2006 06:31 PM

Yeh I'd 2nd leaving it till the new year...
