belt sizes for lightened crank pulley???

hi....does anyone know the sizes of belts that are required when changing the crank pulley to a lighter one on a classic scoob.

its both belts for the air con and alternator.

many thanks.

Why would a lightened one be of a different diameter?

scogsywrx 01 October 2006 03:45 PM

because the pulley is smaller.

Because a lot of companys make the crank pully smaller to make it a lot lighter (its called under driven).

I fitted a set of underdrive pulleys to my newage and replaced the alternater belt with a 840mm one instead of the standard 880mm

I have scooby clinic lightened pulley's which are also a smaller diameter to the O.E. ones.

The belts that came with them are made by "Gates Auto Master" and are off the shelf items available through most high street motor factors.
The Part No's
58351-5PK825 Alt/psteer belt.
48353-4PK850 Aircon. belt

Hopes this helps.:thumb:
