Subaru 0 - Old ford 1

I was doing 115mph yesterday on the shavington bypass near crewe in my WRX and an F reg sierra cossie came past me like I was standing still. It was all hunkered down at the rear and sounded amazing. He never even had a run up, just pulled out from behind and booted it. We both waved and thumbs up to show there was no hard feelings. God them cars were great werent they.

Nowt wrong with Cossys:notworthy :notworthy

Ben v7 01 October 2006 04:08 PM

Was probably very heavily modified. A 500bhp Scoob would of gone past you at 115mph in a similar fashion.

Daz1121 01 October 2006 04:58 PM

The Cossie wouldn't have been white by any chance as if so I've seen it about in the Cheshire area before.

ultraviolate 01 October 2006 06:41 PM

Yes it was white with black wheels. I would imagine it was heavily modified because a standard car couldnt possibly do what that did.

Stephen Pope 01 October 2006 07:15 PM

Cossies are classics!!! Some may say chavish but Scoobies are also chavs cars now!!!

hectic 01 October 2006 07:18 PM

theres an awful lot of cars now that can leave a Scoob in its dust.... :)

Daz1121 01 October 2006 08:17 PM

I've seen it about before and get the impression the owner doesn't like being overtaken by Scoobs. Went past it on the M56 once, it didn't like it so undertook me to get in front very quickly.

ultraviolate 01 October 2006 08:24 PM

He seemed ok. Just wanted to show me what he'd got I think, which was a very tidy and very quick motor

Criss 01 October 2006 08:27 PM

Seen it before, didnt like me passing it either, even at 60mph LoL.

Think he's got spray in it

gaz-cole 01 October 2006 08:28 PM

cossies are cool but ive seen as many if not more go bang than a scoob

3 door cossie's are pure class:notworthy

Blademaster 01 October 2006 09:30 PM

just sold a 3 door and a 4x4 cozzy. 415bhp more torque than the mother inlaw. Now sulking looking at the wrx!

Cozzys are fantastic, but £500 everytime it catches a cold, tin worm chassis, taxi like saphire's, 20 year old ecu's, as long as a bus, dont turn in sharp enough....... cant get em to be reliable like rice rockets....

Collecting fully sorted ra end of the month for sprinting.....anyone want a wrx?

Perhaps the wrx will do for autocross.

Jon(m600bhp) 02 October 2006 03:49 PM

Ive got a 580brake heavily modded escort cossy:eek2: which would wipe the floor with most road scoobs but put it against a 580bhp scoob and things would probably be different:D

Standard against standard the scoob would trounce the cossy:thumb:

Paul3446 02 October 2006 03:56 PM

You bl00dy idiot, driving at 115mph, what if there'd been a disabled kid playing with a fluffy puppy with a bandage on it's paw on the hard shoulder.

Bat-Fink 02 October 2006 03:58 PM

Nice one mate now wait for the 'have him in the twisties' people.

Why were you only doing 115mph? Surely you can do better than that?

Paul3446 02 October 2006 04:01 PM

Disabled kids play with fluffy puppies in the twisties as well! :nono:

Funny thing is mate - an awful lot of Sierra Cosworth's were indeed wrapped around trees in the twisties. You ever seen one of them trying to put it's power down when traveling in anything other than a straight line? :)

andythejock01wrx 02 October 2006 05:10 PM

Cossies and Scoobs. Both chav cars and both great !!:thumb:
