Do I need uprated fuel pump?

Just had Prodrive sports cat, decat pipe and back box fitted to my Sti my03 and when accelerating hard I get a holding back point around 4500 revs. Is it because the current fule pump is stretched? thanks. I am waiting for delivery of the uprated Walbro pump before a Bob Rawle remap.

I was advised to have one by TSL for safety reasons on my 02 wrx, also fitted a de-cat up pipe, sports down pipe, de-cat centre section prior to remap by Bob. (Great bloke)

Std pump should be ok with just an exhaust, but you'll need the uprated one for the remap.

Technically at the moment, no. But for safety's sake if you're planning a remap soon, yes.
