Will these fit staight into a bugeye headlight and the STi NON-hids?

If so I maybe in.

S!

alex_00s 29 September 2006 12:22 PM

The kit incorporates everything you need to 'plug and play' :thumb:

All you have to do is make sure you indicate which bulb type your vehicle requires (see manual)

PGMabley 29 September 2006 12:25 PM

I'm in - done mine for the H4 6000K kit

Good Man! :thumb:

alex_00s 29 September 2006 12:37 PM

FYI

If your vehicle has seperate bulbs for the dips (normal headlight beam) and full beam (New Age), then two "low beam" kits would be needed. Thats if you wanted the HID to perform for dips and full beam. Most people are quite happy to have one kit and only use HID on dips.

If your vehicle has one bulb for main and full beam (Classics), then you would want the bi-xenon so you could retain the full beam functionality and get HID performance on dips and full beam.

:)

Anyone know the bulb type and colour temp i would need 4 a MY94 WRX RA import . Real interested in this but don't want to order the wrong parts.

James:thumb:

alex_00s 29 September 2006 01:12 PM

Not sure on the bulb type (could be H4), but as for temp thats totally your choice mate! :thumb:

Have a look at the colours and pick which ever you like best... most ppl go for the Iceberg Blue 8000K, but its all down to personal preference :)

PGMabley 29 September 2006 02:44 PM

8000k will give you a blue light like you see on BMW etc.

6000k is a whiter light but they reckon gives you the best option in practice on road driving, slightly more visibility than the 8000k IMO.

I have 8000k on my 911 and have to say they are not quite (nearly are) as good as the OEM ones on my old BMW (OEM are normally 4500k).

Hope this helps

Cheers
Paul

Who pays the postage to send any faulty stuff back to Canada? or do they just send us replacements?

I am a bit concerned if I have a failure that I will have to dick about and put my halogens back in while waiting 10 days for replacement parts

A

GrantyBoy 29 September 2006 06:51 PM

just noting my interest here as well

RS Grant 29 September 2006 07:48 PM

Yea, I'm interested too... would also like info about replacement parts/support.

Also, how well the standard MY99/00 Crystal Headlights stand up to the increase in temps.

Cheers,
Grant

4give me for not being able to answer some of these questions... I'm only pitching this for the supplier and dont have too much knowledge on them.

Will hopefully get all your questions answered when the supplier logs on! :thumb:

MY01WRX 30 September 2006 08:53 PM

Its no reflection on you Alex, but if they can't answer questions quickly during 'the pre-sales process' it does not bode well for getting answers to post sales issues and getting replacement shipped :(

Good luck - You may all need it ;)

I hear exactly what you are saying... I have done Genuine Auto's a favour by initiating this GB, but it seems I've been left in the lerch! :(

I may have another supplier on hand tho. With this potential new source, delivery time for items (or replacements) is estimated 4-5 working days.

Can I suggest this GB be temporarily put on hold (only for a day or two) until I can make arrangements with this new supplier?

Sorry about this! :brickwall

For what its worth... Classics will need bi-xenon which will give low beam (dips) and full beam both from the same bulb. Unless you have morettes?

Hey everyone - you'll have to forgive me for not replying right away - my oldest son started hockey for the first time this weekend and it took up all my time!! I've been trying to get this started for days - and I was online every hour working this deal - I just needed the day and a half for my family - which I trust many of you can understand!
I'm here, and MORE than ready to answer any and all questions that come up! Remember as well that there is a time difference, so while you think I'm ignoring you, I'm sleeping (they make me do that sometimes... ;) )

OK, for replacements, each scenario is different and we work with each person to make them happy - our warranty is unmatched in the industry - we will replace all parts within a 3 year period. No hassle, but on warranties the buyer is responsible for shipping (this is standard).
As for heat - HID burn brighter, but at a lower temp than halogen, so you won't have any problems.

Genuine 01 October 2006 05:07 AM

OK, I think I've covered everything.
Alex - thanks again - you did an excellent job setting this up - you were just quicker than I expected!! :notworthy
Again, my apologies to everyone for having to wait on me - I guarantee I will be in here EVERY day to answer questions - and if you don't hear from me within the hour on an urgent question, you can send the question direct to Genuine Auto (genuine.auto@gmail.com) and they will answer your question - as long as someone is awake...:)
I know you will all be impressed with the kits - based on the interest I've seen, all orders will be shipped immediately - not going to wait for the 5 to come in at once.
Thanks to everyone for your patience!!

Genuine 01 October 2006 05:20 AM

ONE MORE THING - I see that a member has already placed an order - just to put everyone's mind at ease, the order was processed within an hour of the payment receipt and shipped within 24hours of the payment. The parcel is enroute with the courier as we speak!
So no worries about reliability - the owner of Genuine Auto takes his business very seriously!!

alex_00s 01 October 2006 09:42 AM
