Hi chaps/chappetes

my employer this time.

i have a subsidided lease car, the payments come out of my salary, if after the loan period you have excess miles you get charged per mile.

they are incorrectly trying to charge £88.80, i have verbal communication and e mial traces to prove i have disputed the charge and also verbally that it is incorrect, this is due to the car being returned late as a result of them not ordering the replacement in time.

however i beleive as they have not acted swiftly enough and the charge will come out of my pay, if so what rights do i have to reclaim the amount, what time period etc

also would it be unreasonale to state i will charge interest at the rate it would cost me to get that sum on my credit card for example?

even at 20% interest, if they didnt pay up for 2 months, you'd still only gain about 3 quid !

Its not worth even fussing about!

again its the principle, you dont pay disputed parking fines until the dispute is settled

Your use of pronouns makes it rather difficult to establish if you think it is your company or the lease firm at fault / charging you. If your employer is subsidising your lease, then I'd say it's your problem. What do you mean by "not ordering the replacement in time", do you mean not quick enough to suit you or that your employer states you must put in a request X months before you anticipate you will hit the mileage limit, you did this and they still didn't have the order sorted. Was this the fault of the employer or the lease firm?

Odly enough, both times I have disputed a parking fine, I have sent the cheque along with my dispute letter (to show willing), both times the cheque was returned to me, with a letter saying case closed.

its a company subsidised lease scheme, compnay employees sorting out cars for a 3rd party, they didnt order my replacement in time, even though i had submitted the forms

Personel department used a big stick to beat them and it worked

where do you work? sounds like the firm we use
