"Wheeler Dealers"
If you buy a car, purely for the excercise of doing up and flogging on, do you need to register it in your name?
Also is there anything else you can or can't do if you do this. Do you have to register as a business if you do "x" amount of cars each year? Ta J |
yes its trading, regardless of how you disguise it

As far as i know, if you Trade you don't need to register the car in your name.
If you don't trade, you need to register the car in your name. |

"Register as a business" ? That doesnt really mean anything.

Buy it, put it in your name, drive it a bit - sell it.
Who can prove if you made any cash? |

Indeed.
A couple of hundred notes made - not including the 40hrs+ labour put in by a pretty decent mechanic. |
I like the show but when he adds up what hes spent and says £30 on filler and then you see that the mech has stripped and smoothed the hole bloody car over the period of 2-3 days work its not a real price guide as theres no labour charges!
