Oh my god how big are the Arachnids this year!!
 Bloody everywhere!
|
Huckin' Fuge!!! :thumb:
|
I know what you mean. Just moved house and there seem to be massive ones about.
Found 2 in the bath yesterday. Tried to get them to have a fight but no luck. Would have been a bit like cage fighting for spiders!!! |
I went to sewage works the other week that has a massive population of small flies...and an even bigger population of spiders..every nook and cranny and passageway that didn't see regular foot traffic was just a mass of webs, looked like something off the old kong film
|
Not seen any at all this year but there is a bush in my front garden that I noticed was full of cob webs when I walked muttly... Couldnt believe how many there were
|
This has been hanging around our gaff for a while now...
http://www.sparky99.demon.co.uk/images/DSC_3694-03.jpg Strange lookin' fecker, ain't it. |
that looks evil! bet you see plenty of creepy crawlies in perth though
|
You know. I was thinking the same. Ive had 2 massive fookers in my house the past couple of days. I cant stand them.
Make great cat toys tho:D |
there is a spider that lives at the top of my cctv pole, and goes for regular walks across the cctv lens, which looks quite funny when customers are in the office and they glance at the screen.
had an old lady cry out "eeeeeeeeee" and then check out the window, she thought somebody outside was about to be eaten PMSL |
ianch:
That 'evil' thing is less than an inch across and AFAIK won't kill you. It has a bite a bit like a bee sting apparently. This one's a bit bigger but less dangerous (it's a baby:eek: huntsman ): http://www.sparky99.demon.co.uk/images/DSC_2695-02.jpg However, red back's are also less than an inch across and can kill you. Who says size doesn't matter? :) |
cool are there any deadly spiders there ? a friend of mine is going to work in australia later this year think place is called mackay
|
In WA redbacks and, occasionally, white tails are the only ones that can be a serious problem. If you're with 160 kms of Sydney then there's the Funnel Web. A grudge bearing nasty fecker to say the least.
|
i would love to live there suppose its like anything else you just have to be sensible take the proper precautions and dont antagonise anything:)
australia seems like a top place to live much better than the uk which is fast becoming the cess pit of the world! |
I know the UK is seemingly on the slide ATM but don't think it's all a bed of roses out here. There's...
There's also 18 of the top 20 most dangerous snakes, spiders as previously mentioned, blue ringed octopus, box jellyfish and let's not forget stingrays (no, I'm not making light of Steve Irwin's demise, that was tragic). Aussie beer too (with the odd exception) And don't forget John Howard. More seriously, there's sh1t over here that'd drive you mad too! |
i suppose your right i just dont like the way its looking here i think in the next few years there will be big problems here for people financially with crime and violence and totall lack of faith in the politicans. cant see much of a future especially for my son! i think though i would take the opportunity if i was given it deadly animals or not lol
