Golf VR6

is the build quality good and reliability??? what is the all round performance like and are they heavy on fuel???

Very well built and very reliable IME of 3 years of owing a K plate. Quite thirsty and some will argue under powered for a 2.8. Handle well as standard. Nice to drive.

Personally - I'd opt for a Corrado VR6 over the Golf

Awesome engine, had a Mk3 golf but didn't handle very well as standard.
Would go for the Corrado these are 2.9 as apposed to the golf 2.8, and they handle better.
Best option Vr6 Engine in Mk2 Golf
